The Spotlight Kids Performing Arts ... Believe, Achieve, Spark, Inspire, Create!The Spotlight Kids Performing Arts is an after school theater and vocal program dedicated to developing creativity, confidence and team work. NEWS/UPDATESIt was great meeting Andrea Green, Selma Tolins-Kaufman and Linda Roeder this weekend at the National Performing Arts Festival in Walt Disney World. The Spotlight Kids received an EXCELLENT RATING for their 20 minute rendition of Homeroom-the Musical. Tiffany and Cristina won Outstanding Performance medals for their role in Homeroom-the Musical. Individual Categories DUET SCENE Tiffany and Ben won overall BEST in the Duet Scene category with a score of 100 for their scene from Gumshoe High. DUET SCENE Cristina and Dillon received an Excellent Rating for their scene from GumShoe-High. SOLO Crisitna received a Superior Rating for her solo of "Going It Alone," from Homeroom the Musical. Special Thanks to the authors of Homeroom - The Musical: Andrea Green and Selma Tolins-Kaufman for working with us and allowing us to perform and learn from this great show. Students must maintain a C average in all subjects, turn in assignments, have a good attitude and adhere to the MMS Behavior Policy at all times. This includes the school day as well as after-school and off campus activities sponsored/and or endorsed by Millhopper Montessori School. Teachers will consider past and present academic and behavior performance including behavior and attitude in after-school and off campus activities sponsored/and or endorsed by Millhopper Montessori School when considering a student. Auditions
Auditions are held in August of the new school year. Present and Past students in 6th - 8th grades are encouraged to audition. The Spotlight Kids Drama Club aka International Junior Thespian Troupe # 88928 is an award winning, competitive acting troupe. Currently we meet at Millhopper Montessori School.
